Why does it cost to have my items collected?Updated 7 days ago
We appreciate you asking! The recycling fee plays a crucial role in supporting the various stages of our textile recycling initiative. This includes the costs involved in transporting and securely storing donated items, carefully separating and sorting them to maximize their second life potential, and meticulously preparing quality items for distribution to our incredible Australian partners: Save The Children, Sacred Heart Mission, Ready Set Australia, St Kilda Mums, and Good360 Australia. It also contributes to the specialized processes required for textile-to-textile recycling.
These essential operational costs quickly accumulate, which is perhaps why onshore textile recycling remains uncommon among retailers. As a small Australian startup committed to sustainability and operating independently of government funding, the $35 collection fee is vital in helping us cover these expenses and achieve our mission of keeping textiles out of landfill and creating a truly circular system for our products.
